- MCAP to lease additional two new B737-800 to flydubai
MC Aviation Partners Inc. ("MCAP") announced today that MCAP and Dubai Aviation Corporation ("flydubai") have signed a Purchase and Leaseback Agreement for two new Boeing B737-800 aircraft. The lease term is for eight years and the delivery is scheduled in January and February 2012. MCAP and flydubai had already entered into a Purchase and Leaseback transaction for one B737-800 earlier this year.
flydubai, Dubai's first low cost airline, was established by the Government of Dubai in March 2008 and began commercial flights on June 1st, 2009. flydubai currently has a fleet of 20 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and operates to 46 destinations across GCC, Middle East, North Africa, Indian Sub-Continent, Asia and the fringes of Europe.
