- MCAP to lease two A321-200 to Nordwind Airlines
MC Aviation Partners Inc. ("MCAP") announced that it has agreed to lease two Airbus A321-200 aircraft which was previously operated by another lessee, to Nordwind Airlines ("Nordwind"), an airline based in Russia. The lease term for the aircraft is six years for both aircraft.
Nordwind is a charter airline established in 2008 with its base in Sheremetyevo airport, Moscow Russia. It offers air transportation services to client of the largest tour operators in Russia, in particular to Pegas Touristic. The airline currently has a fleet of 13 Boeing aircraft and these two aircraft will be the first Airbus to be operated by Nordwind along with its fleet expansion plan. As of October 2011, it serves 21 Russian cities and 25 foreign destinations.
