MCAP to lease two new B737-800 to Skymark Airlines Inc

MC Aviation Partners (MCAP) announced today that it has delivered one new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Skymark Airlines Inc. (Skymark) on the basis of operating lease. This is the first one of the two 737-800s that have been ordered by MCAP with Boeing and have been committed to be leased to Skymark for eight years. MCAP, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, which is one of the pioneers in aircraft operating lease business for Japanese airlines, is pleased to announce that this was the first occasion for MCAP to place an order with an aircraft manufacturer and is the first occasion to lease aircraft to Skymark.

Skymark is a rapidly growing airline in Japan. Starting its operation in 1998 after deregulation in aviation, Skymark has been expanding its business as the most successful LCC in Japan and is currently operating a single type of aircraft, 737-800 which brings the company remarkable efficiency. MCAP's aircraft are 13th and 18th 737-800 in Skymark's fleet which must support Skymark's further development.
